Freelance copywriter | 33 years old | Leeds
I began my writing career on Sunday afternoons in the 90s, sat with my Dad, crafting match reports on the ups and downs of Settle United Juniors FC. The challenge of turning an 8-0 drubbing at the hands of Bingley Reserves into a gripping report for readers of the Craven Herald required a discipline and imagination that I have nurtured ever since.
I went on to graduate with a degree in Journalism from the University of Central Lancashire, before taking a role with the Press Association as a sports reporter and digital sub-editor.
I learned the art of writing for the web and worked at various online businesses before I became Head of Content and Social Media at Leeds-based digital agency, Branded3.
Managing a team of content writers and PR executives, I delivered award-winning content strategies for global brands, and worked across large-scale content projects that supported hugely successful search engine optimisation (SEO) campaigns.
I launched Copyhound in April 2015 and I’m proud to have worked with large and small clients on projects from a variety of sectors including education, SEO, film and media, sport, health, and travel.
